Peter, of possible use here and in the future  ...  www.identifont.com .  As
you answer about 13 questions related to the look of various characters,
they hone in on the likely name. Don't know how many of their 5000+
typefaces are ancient ones though.

If that doesn't work, consider asking some of the larger type companies
listed at their companion site: www.fontscape.com .
