Re: [BKARTS] AIC Stuff

Frank, completely different. The AIC has various position papers on the web
at <http://aic.stanford.edu/members/>. While the Guild will never really be
able to get something like certification together, and doesn't necessarily
have an interest in going in that direction, AIC is well on the way.

What the Guild has taked about off and on seems to have evolved from a
certification program to issuing guidelines / suggestions for what skills
and training should be expected of different levels of binders. It's all
been very theoretical though.

p.

I am a bit confused about the AIC certification discussion. Is this
certification the same as the one proposed within the Guild of Bookworkers
or is it totally independent? Is there a web location where the proposed
qualifications are available?

Thanks,
