It's legal, but not the most forthright way of dealing with the problem.
Perhaps you might consider inserting a disclaimer on the inside of the first
cover that the timelines do not conform to your church's historical
calendar. Children are going to come across these widespread scientific
statements. They should know what they are, if only to be able to defend the
church's views intelligently.You should discuss the problem with the church
board before taking any action that might expose you to reprimand either
