[BKARTS] Book Arts Event - San Francisco Bay Area

On Saturday, October 18th, the Bay Area Book Artists and Foothill College
are holding the 2nd annual Book Arts Jam at the campus center at Foothill
Community College, Los Altos. Over 50 juried artists are taking part and
will be showing all types of Book Arts work including handbound books in
leather, sculptural books, limited edition poetry chapbooks, hand-printed
comics, Prints, Zines, handmade paper, photography and other creative
expressive arts. There will also be some book-binding and letterpress
demonstrations.

Last year, this was an extremely creatively stimulating event giving
visitors the opportunity to talk directly with the artists and examine their
work. The event itself is free but parking costs 2 dollars (bring eight
quarters). From 10-1pm, the cafeteria will be open for coffee and some
grilled food. Please join me at this event and in encouraging our local
arts organizations and community college. More information can be found at
www.bookartsjam.org or www.bayareabookartists.org Feel free to forward this
email and bring your friends.
