Re: [BKARTS] Dry rot

Dry Rot is a fungus Serpula Lachrymans which infests and attachs wood and
wood products. It is usually found in older houses and although the attach
may be dry, very dry, the source of the infestation will be moist. The
fungus constructs it's own water ducting system and can attack timbers up to
a hundred yards from the source.
I have seen and heard of many infestations in old houses here in the South
of England but have never heard of it attacking books.
Are we talking about the correct fungus.???
