Re: [BKARTS] monotype question

Well, from the printmaking perspective, as long as
there is no matrix (stencil, etching, type...) and you
are hand painting or rolling your image on a blank
surface than you can hand draw the same image as many
times as you like, it is still a monotype. Without a
stencil or matrix of some sort it is impossible to
create exactly the same image twice and therefore each
print is a unique monoprint.

A second print pulled from the same painted image
without repainting/ reinking is called a ghost, but it
is considered a different print or the ghost of the
first, not the second in the edition, b/c it was
purposely inked differently (ie. not inked).
