The users are not the only ones at fault, however... Many sysadmins are also
to blame for having SMTP servers (such as 'sendmail' on Unix-like systems)
which do not perform any verification of the identity of the system that is
connecting to them to deliver mail. As a result, spoofing of sender identity
is trivial, facilitating the untraceable spread of viruses.
