[BKARTS] Justin Howes American Lecture Tour

The English type historian and designer Justin Howes (Curator, The Type
Museum [London]: <www.typemuseum.org>), will give three lectures in the
northeastern United States in the first part of March, 2004, under the
auspices of Rare Book School, as follows:

Newark, DE.  7 pm Tuesday 2 March. Room 7 Willard Hall, University of
Delaware  (at the corner of North College and Main Street, Newark). "Fonts
That Go Bump in the Night: Digitizing Caslon." Co-sponsored by the Visual
Communications Group of the University of Delaware and by the Chesapeake
Chapter of the American Printing History Association. Cf

New York City. 6 pm Tuesday 9 March. Grolier Club, 20 East 67th Street, New
York. "Typographical Monstrosities: The Grotesque in Nelson's England."
Co-sponsored by the NY Chapter of the American Printing History Association
and by the Grolier Club.

Charlottesville. 6 pm Thursday, 11 March. Room 201 Clemons Library,
University of Virginia. "Typographical Monstrosities: The Grotesque in
Nelson's England." Sponsored by Rare Book School. Cf
