[BKARTS] LECTURE - BRAD FREEMAN - Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester, NY



BOOK ARTIST,  BRAD FREEMAN,  WILL TALK ABOUT HIS WORK
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11 at 6:00 PM
in the Media Center at Visual Studies Workshop
the lecture is free and open to the public.

BRAD FREEMAN, artist-in Residence at Visual Studies Workshop for the
month of March,  is a prolific book artist,  founding editor and
publisher of JAB (The Journal of Artists' Books) and former Director of
Nexus Press in Atlanta, a center for the production of artists' books.
He is coordinating the 2004 Book Arts Conference and Bookfair for
Pyramid Atlantic to be held in Silver Springs, Maryland in November.

Brad is one of a handful of artist-printers who combines a profound
understanding of offset printing with his work in photography to produce
bookworks that are also extended printworks. He is currently working on
a book about Cuba, based on a trip to Havana last year, hosted by the
Cuban Ministry of Culture.We are very pleased to have Brad, a former
printer at VSW Press, back as artist-in-residence, and hope you will
join us to celebrate his work.
