Whether the Wei T'O will effect inks or not depends on the ink and on the
number of the Wei T'O formula. If the inks in question are of the 1840 era. there
is very little to be concerned about. If they are more modern inks such as
fountain pen or ball point, that is a different matter. There are hundreds of
inks. Therefore no one can say for certain how or by what they will be caused to
bleed, etc. That is why Wei T'O Associates suggest testing the ink before
doing the entire sheet. The safest (for ink) formula has a methanol vehicle. It
evaporates at an alarming rate but it has the least effect on inks.
