Small Ceremonies - Glen Skien
Objects from our past kept in small boxes, like books, have an aptitude for survival. Create intimate mixed media art works contained within the simplest of structures - the box. Participants will have the opportunity to create a series of works which may incorporate mono prints, drawings, found objects and artists' books. The simple box structure is used as a vessel for each participant to develop their own individual concept.
Cost: $80 plus materials
Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September 2004
Nature as Narrative - Corrie Wright
A two day workshop combining experimental print-making and the exploration of the sculptural aspect of books using found objects and concept development. Nature as narrative investigates different ideas and brings together man-made and natural materials for experimenting with the print and artist book process. Participants are encouraged to develop conceptual narratives through the visual medium and are only limited by imagination. This workshop challenges the process of print-making and books as a more spontaneous application and is open to all abilities.
Cost: $80 plus materials
