Re: [BKARTS] Saving sections made up of thick paper

I tried both wheat paste and PVA. The PVA seemed to hold up better. I wish
"not enough adhesive" were the case, but I don't think it is physically
possible to use more than I did. Meaning, I got the adhesive well into the
cracks, a good amount, and did 2 to 3 coats (drying in between each coat).
Will try super, although I'm not sure it will be enough. The pull between
the sections is more than I had imagined when I layed out the book.
Am also going to try an exposed spine stitching, with a cloth accordion
between each section, cased into a hard-back cover. What I'm hoping for is
that the book will still appear to be a Flat Back, but the exposed spine
stitching will give me more structural support to each section. In addition,
with the accordion between each section, the "movement" of such thick
sections won't cause damage to the book block. Meaning, they won't tear
apart.
I'm concerned that even if I do achieve that the sections stay together with
paste/glue and super, for now, I wonder if the structure will hold up over
time.
Will be interesting to see how this turns out...
Thanks,
Alex
