Tom,

In your apology letter you mention the undesirability of reusing marbled
paper. I see no problem what ever with reclaiming antique marble paper that would
otherwise be forever lost, and using it to replace that which is missing on a
book contemporary with the paper. If possible acid content is your problem,
for the most part, that would be washed out in soaking the paper off the boards
or off the old mounted end-papers.
