Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA) seeks a full-time Artistic Director to provide artistic leadership to a fast growing, vibrant and diverse community of artists, educators, adult learners and youth.

The Artistic Director is responsible for articulating an artistic vision and leading the community to the realization of that vision.  The position directly administers all artistic programs, exhibitions and publications. The position reports to the Executive Director.

?BA or BFA degree with an advanced degree preferred.
?Minimum of five years experience in program administration, budget management and teaching or related fields is required.
?Please demonstrate experience working with, encouraging and nurturing diverse groups of artists.  Proven ability to grow programs is considered a plus.  The ideal candidate will enjoy and encourage collaborations and partnerships between artists from all media and experiences and between MCBA and other arts organizations within the Twin Cities and nationally.
?This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lead and persuade others, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong administrative skills, good judgment and passionate leadership.
?Experience with and passion for book arts is required, but artists from all media will be considered, as will art historians, curators, graphic designers and exhibit designers.

?Salary is competitive based on the market and applicant?s qualifications.
