Re: [BKARTS] Patriot act takes an artist (good!)

Personally, I think it's insane to support an "artist"

Why the quotes around artist?

Why shouldn't artists make political statements?

Plus, this guy is doing this in his home! Not in a lab! No area controls! No safety procedures! How many of you would like to have "artistic" amateur biological production taking place next door!?

Did you actually read the story? There was no danger of any kind to anyone. The DNA equipment can be purchased online in the Discovery.com toy store. One might perhaps make a case for investigating the situation, but how do you justify continuing the prosecution once it was established that it was all absolutely harmless and not related to terrorism in any way at all?

This guy called 9/11 because his wife was dying. They came and took her
body away and then put him in prison on ridiculous charges. Do you get
the impact? Read the following out loud: "He called 9/11 and they came
and took her body away and put him in prison. Even after determining
that he was completely harmless, they are continuing to prosecute him."
