[BKARTS] The Center for Book Arts is Pleased to Announce

The Board of Directors of the Center for Book Arts is pleased to announce
the selection of Alexander Campos as Executive Director.

Alex comes to the Center with 15 years experience in Arts Management,
including positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, The New Museum
of Contemporary Art, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Bronx Museum of the
Arts, and most recently, Executive Director of the Jamaica Center for Arts
and Learning. He has worked in membership, marketing, visitor services,
community and government affairs, special events, capital projects,
exhibition planning, and education programming.

His education includes an MA in Arts Administration from New York
University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, where he focused
on the history of art and Romance languages. He is a member of the American
Association of Museums, is on the board of trustess of several cultural
organizations, and  has served on numerous advisory commissions and grant
review panels

We are looking forward to an exciting year with Alex at the helm. This will
be the Center?s 30th Anniversary season, and there will be many special
events to celebrate it. Please watch for announcements detailing our new
mission statement, publications, lectures by book arts luminaries, special
courses and advanced professional workshops, exhibitions, and upgraded
