THE INSPIRED MOUSTACHE: An exhibition of Diverse Expressions of
Salvador Dali through Books and Memorabilia from the Collection of Rik
Pavlescak, Sept. 20-Jan. 15, 2004

The exhibition features 116 items for local private collector Rik
Pavlescak's extensive collection of Dali materials. The exhibit includes
puzzles and games, sheet music, tarot cards, advertisements,
lithographs, ceramic tiles and plates, bottles, numerous printed
material, and trade and fine press books and periodicals dating from
1926 to 2000.

An opening reception and gallery talk with Rik Pavlescak will be held
from 7 to 9 p.m. on October 21, 2004. It is free and open to the public;
RSVP (if attending only) to 954-357-8692. The reception is co-sponsored
by the Fontaneda Society: Book Collectors Club of South Florida.

A four-color, 50-page accompanying exhibition catalog will be available
for purchase ($15.00) on October 21, 2004.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of his birth, the year 2004
has been designated the "Year of Dali" in Spain, and exhibition, films,
festivals, concerts, publications, symposiums and lectures are being
held throughout the world. With this exhibit, the Bienes Center joins
the worldwide celebration of Dali's centenary and continues its
tradition of showcasing unusual and important items from the holdings of
local private collectors.
