Samuel H. Kress Foundation Fellowship in Paper Conservation
Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is seeking a full-time paper conservation fellow for a 9-month period to work on a comprehensive survey of a group of works on paper from the museumís founding collection. This project will include thorough scientific analysis of the materials and techniques, as well as historical research and photographic documentation.
In addition, the fellowship may also involve activities related to museum exhibitions.

A successful candidate must demonstrate excellent hand skills, proficiency in analyzing scientific data, and strong interpersonal skills. Candidates should enjoy working with a team, and have the ability to communicate with a supervisor while working independently.

The fellowship will commence as soon as April 1, 2005. The stipend is $20,000 plus benefits. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, and should be recent graduates of a recognized conservation training program or equivalent.
