[BKARTS] BookFest

It's had to believe that there are only four weeks until BookFest 2005
(www.BookFest.com). If you are anywhere near New York City on April 8-9
please plan to attend. Artists are coming from 12 states, three Canadian
provinces, and-we hope-Mexico. All the books have been produced by the
artist(s) selling them and many of the books are being offered for sale for
the first time.

A comprehensive show of miniature books sponsored by the Miniature Book
Society will be on display at the Borough of Manhattan Community College
Library (199 Chambers Street) as part of the BookFest excitement. The
exhibit presents a wide selection of fine miniature books along with
photographs of collectors, designers and publishers. The show will be
installed on Friday and will remain on display until after BookFest.

Several of the BookFest artists will also be giving workshops in Manhattan
before and after the show. There is a link at www.BookFest.com for more
details. Come see the finished books and learn important bookmaking skills
all in the same week!

Every artist participating in BookFest 2005 is looking forward to welcoming
book arts lovers on April 8-9. Please come and enjoy the beautiful books.
