[BKARTS] Carol Blinn Workshop in Aurora, New York



The Wells Book Arts Center is pleased to welcome book artist Carol Blinn for a
special weekend
workshop:

Decorating Paper with Colored Paste

9 and 10 April 2005
Saturday and Sunday
10 to 4 each day

Loosen up your creative energies and unleash your need to get messy by making
decorated paste
paper. Using paste, acrylic paints, and basic tools, you will learn to design
and create marvelous papers
that can be used for a variety of purposes. By the end of the workshop you
will have samples of a dozen
different patterns and methods. Both the professional book artist and those
who wish to learn a
satisfying and beautiful craft are welcome.

Carol J. Blinn has been making and using decorated paste papers in her own
book making work for well
over thirty years. She is the proprietor of Warwick Press in Easthampton,
Massachusetts, and is known
for her typographic design, her letterpress printing, her limited edition
books, & her decorated paste

The workshop limited to 10 people; advance registration is required. Cost is
$150 per person and
includes all materials. Class is held in the Scriptorium, 3rd floor Morgan
Hall, at the Wells Book Arts
