[BKARTS] Removing smudges from page edges

Step one is to clamp the pages so no individual page can be crimped. If the
books are being rebound, the best time to do this is while the covers are
off. While clamped, you can try a Magic Rub or similar eraser. If that
doesn't work, very fine sandpaper can be used, carefully. Obviously, this is
a bad idea if the page edges are gilt, marbled, etc.
