RIT?s <http://wally.rit.edu/cary/>Cary Library <http://wally.rit.edu/cary>
is pleased to be hosting an exciting traveling exhibition called ?In
Flight: The Guild of Book Workers? 2003-2005 Triennial Exhibition. This
unique collection of ?flight-related book arts? commemorates the centennial
anniversary (December 17, 2003) of the Wright Brothers? first flight in a
very creative manner. The show is made up of 51 different pieces created by
Guild members specifically for this juried show. The traveling exhibit
lands on the RIT campus on March 10th and will be available for viewing
through April 22nd, 2005.
Cary Graphic Arts Collection is part of the greater RIT Libraries, and is
located on the 2nd floor of Building 5 on the RIT Henrietta campus. The
display will largely reside in Cary?s showcase windows (viewable during all
open hours of Wallace Library), while some pieces will be displayed in
smaller cases within the Cary Library itself (viewable during open hours of
Cary; M-F; 9am-Noon; 1pm-5pm). There is no admission charge to view this
unique collection.
An ?Opening Reception? is planned (at Cary Library) for Thursday, April 7th
from 4pm ? 6pm. The reception will be open to everyone.
