Re: [BKARTS] Dirty Looks for Dirty Books
I guess the following's relevant to this thread:
WOID #XIII-1. The Rudie
Announcing a new competition, the Rudie Award for Excellence in
Detecting Dirty Art (RAEDDA).
This competition is dedicated to a former mayor of New York City,
based on the premiss that if you think elephant dung's bad you need to
get out and look at art more.
Periodically the impartial jury will issue summary descriptions of
Important Works of Art in Major Museums. Contestants must identify the
Important Work and its Location. The winner will earn a free admission
to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. So will everybody else, of course.
Are you ready?
Question number #1: this work depicts a young man in a dress, with
rouged cheeks, surrounded by older men, one of whom is making the
gesture for 'intercourse" with his hands. Sausages are much in
evidence.
Hint: Experts in Dutch Baroque, their families and friends, are not
eligible.
