[BKARTS] Barbara Hodgson: How to Make an Artists’ Book From Concept to Publication (Los Angeles)

The Los Angeles Book Arts Center invites you to a free talk by Barbara
Hodgson, a Vancouver-based artist known for her wonderfully illustrated
novels, which are brought to life by an amazing array of archival
photographs, antique postcards and rare engravings, including “The
Tattooed Map,” “Opium: A Portrait of the Heavenly Demon,” “The
Sensualist,” and a fabulous imaginary guidebook called “Paris Out of
Hand,” written in collaboration with her friends, Nick Bantock, and
Karen Elizabeth Gordon, author of such classics as “The Transitive
Vampire” and “The Well-Tempered Sentence.” Join us for her talk about
the process of creating artists’ books.
