The Los Angeles Book Arts Center is very pleased to present 
the following offerings for the month of May: 
How to Make an Artists’ Book from concept to publication:
A talk with Barbara Hodgson
Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 7PM
At New Roads High School, 3131 Olympic Blvd. Santa Monica, 90404
Join the best-selling author of The Tattooed Map, The Sensualist, and 
The Lives of Shadows for a talk about the process of creating artists’ books.
Free and open to all.
Nesting with Lucia Farias Villarreal
Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, 2005  9:30AM to 4:00PM
In this intensive two-day workshop, students will be introduced 
to 5 enclosures which can be used for different purposes. 
All of the enclosures nest into one double clam shell box, 
so the finished work is one clam shell box with 4 enclosures 
inside including a soft-cover slip case and a double wrapper. 
This class is intended for more advanced students.
$190 – Nonmembers / $150 – Members
A $25 materials fee payable to the instructor at class time.
