[BKARTS] Call for Entries

Dear Book Artist enthusiast:

Please consider entering this exciting Book Art exhibition and please

National Call for Entries

Postmark Deadline: July 21, 2005.

Core New Art Space invites all book artists 18 and over, residing in
theUSA, to participate in its National Juried Exhibition "Book + Art

The purpose of the exhibition is to provide artists with a venue to
showcase the convergence of fine art, books, and bookmaking, and to
bring increased awareness of this growing artistic genre to the Denver
art community and via the Internet. Anything that the artist can argue
an artist book - be it a one-of-a-kind handmade book, one of a handmade
limited edition, an altered book, etc. - is eligible to be entered.

The juror is Alicia Bailey (BFA 1981, University of Colorado) who has
been a studio artist for over 25 years, and has worked in Book Arts
since 1994. She has served for six years on the executive committee
of the Guild of Book Workers, and is an active member in four other
book arts
organizations. Her work has been published in numerous books, catalogs
and magazines, and she received a CCA Artist Fellowship for Colorado
Artists in 2000. Her work is held in public, private and special
collections worldwide.

Accepted artwork will be exhibited in the Annex at Core New Art Space,
900 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, Colorado from Sept. 15 to Oct. 1, 2005.
Accepted works will also be displayed on the Core New Art Space website
in an online exhibition for one year beginning September 15th, 2005,
will include links to accepted artists' web sites. There will be cash
based on the number of entries.

Core New Art Space is a non-profit cooperative fine art gallery located
in the thriving Santa Fe Arts District in Downtown Denver, and run by
artist members. Part of our mission is to showcase new and varied work
in open entry shows throughout the year.

Online Exhibit: Sept. 15, 2005 - Sept. 15, 2006
