[BKARTS] Nancy Leavitt in Aurora, New York

The Wells Book Arts Summer Institute is proud to announce a presentation
by lettering artist Nancy Leavitt on Tuesday, 28 June at 8pm. The slide
lecture will take place in the Chapel, Main Building, on the Wells College
campus. Ms. Leavitt will speak about her work; time for questions will
follow. The event is free and open to the public. 

The presentation is part of the second session of Wells' inaugural Book Arts
Summer Institute. Nancy Leavitt is teaching a seminar entitled "Content,
Form and Sequence: Genesis of the Hand Lettered Book" during the week of
June 27 through July 1. 

An internationally recognized lettering and book artist, Nancy Leavitt
creates contemporary illuminated manuscript books filled with lettering,
poetry and painting. As Calligraphy Correspondent for the national chapter
of the Guild of Book Workers, she writes about lettering and book arts. Her
work is represented in public and private collections around the world.
