Valeria Finucci has written extensively on the literature of the 
Italian 
Renaissance, with particular interest in women writers and issues of 
gender. 
  Her books include The Manly Masquerade: Masculinity, Paternity and 
Castration in the Italian Renaissance  (2003), and modern editions of 
the 
works of Renaissance women writers Moderata Fonte and Giulia Bigolina.

Carol Moore is director of the MFA Programs in Ceramics, Painting and 
Sculpture at the University of the Arts, and has exhibited her work in 
China, Italy and Brazil, as well as the United States. She did a 
version of 
this installation at the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice in the 
fall 
of 2005
