[BKARTS] Minnesota Center for Book Arts Announces ³Ignited²

Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA) is pleased to announce our upcoming
exhibition with winning designs and wonderful words. ³Ignited,² a
competition and exhibition of design bindings created for the Laurel Poetry
Collective¹s 2006 Anthology, is a celebration of words and artistry. On
display will be the best entries received, including award winners in five
categories: best use of leather, best use of handmade paper, best use of
non-traditional materials, best thematic interpretation and overall
excellence. A collection of finely crafted, limited-edition Laurel Poetry
Collective broadsides completes this show.
 
Copies of ³Ignited,² the Laurel Poetry Collective¹s 2006 Anthology of poems,
will be available for purchase the evening of the Opening Reception and
through The Shop at MCBA thereafter.
 
The Laurel Poetry Collective is a gathering of poets and graphic artists
living in the Twin Cities area dedicated to publishing beautiful and
affordable books, chapbooks and broadsides.  More information is available

Exhibit Dates:
May 18 ­ July 8, 2006
Opening Reception:
May 18, 6 to 9 pm
Readings from the anthology will be held at 7 pm
 
Gallery Hours are Tuesday 10 am to 9 pm, Wednesday-Saturday 10 am to 5 pm,
Sunday and Monday we are closed.  Gallery and events are free and open to
