Hello again,
 
May I please refine my question? Having received several off-line
answers, I learn my question was not specific enough. I am keenly aware
of current collaborative efforts where one artist gathers others to help
for a single outcome such as illustrator, writer and book artist.
Indeed, this is somewhat like T. S. Elliot. What I am hoping to learn
about are historical efforts or efforts that prompt individual efforts
that can stand alone but together may/will create a larger/different
awareness than any single piece might offer. Or are there leads on
academics who have treated this subject.
