[BKARTS] NL book arts? US book arts?

Hi everyone,

I am new to the list and this is my first post... I recently finished my BA in English literature, and am a writer, and joined here because I am very interested in learning more about book arts and self publishing.

Can anyone here recommend a good certificate book arts program in the US? I am aware of the 1-yr course at the University of Iowa, are there any others like this (my fine arts experience is too limited to apply for an MFA)?

Also, I may be moving to Amsterdam for the fall semester with a friend of mine who will be starting a master's degree there. I am curious if there is any book arts activity in or near the city that I might be able to get involved in, before coming home and entering a formal program. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks,

Robbie
