Re: [BKARTS] NL book arts? US book arts?

Hello Robert,

Welcome to the Book Arts list and congratulations on your BA in English Lit. The Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artist Guild have developed an excellent home study course for bookbinding.
  Here is the link: http://www.cbbag.ca/HomeStudy.htm
I'm not associated with them in anyway I just heard great things about their programs.

  Hi everyone,

I am new to the list and this is my first post... I recently finished my
BA in English literature, and am a writer, and joined here because I am
very interested in learning more about book arts and self publishing.

Can anyone here recommend a good certificate book arts program in the
US? I am aware of the 1-yr course at the University of Iowa, are there
any others like this (my fine arts experience is too limited to apply
for an MFA)?

Also, I may be moving to Amsterdam for the fall semester with a friend
of mine who will be starting a master's degree there. I am curious if
there is any book arts activity in or near the city that I might be able
to get involved in, before coming home and entering a formal program.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks,

Robbie
