Printmakers use felt when printing etchings. You could find both
pressed and woven felt in several thicknesses in either 24" or 36"
widths at Dan Smith Art Supplies www.danielsmith.com.

book. Also is it better to take the foam or padding material
right to
the
covering board edge. I saw in the archive that someone had suggested
felt
covered with thin chipboard (would this be archival) or quilt
batting. For
both of these how does one manage the gluing
Finally one of my students wants to study leather binding in
Italy next
summer (don’t we all).
