23 Sandy Gallery in Portland, Oregon Presents:
Sense and Sensuality--A National Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Artist Books
The national juried exhibition includes 50 handmade books submitted by
artists from across the U.S. and Canada. Artists were challenged with
the theme of the five senses or sensuality and were encouraged to push
a few boundaries and play with some racy content. This exhibition was
juried by Jim Carmin who is the John Wilson Special Collections
Librarian at Multnomah County Library.
We are also excited to announce that a Purchase Prize Award has been
selected by our juror. The winner is Sarah Bryant for her book, The
Index. A copy of this terrific edition will be purchased by the
gallery and donated to Jim's collection at the library.
