[BKARTS] The Fair of the Book and the Rose/St. George's Day
Dear Friends
In doing some research for seasonal celebrations for The Creative
Year, I came across St. George's Day (today, April 23) which is
celebrated in Catalonia with the Fair of the Book and the Rose. The
holiday celebrates St. George (of the dragon fame) and the death days
of Miguel Cervantes and William Shakespeare (April 23, 1616). Boys
and men give their girlfriends and wives roses; girls and women give
their boyfriends and husbands books.
