I have been running some experiments repairing popups devices in books.
and i have an idea what i want to run past someone else before I try it.
Repairing torn ligatures isn't always enough, one needs to reinforce
primary folds and remove or reduce folds caused by the damage.
My thoughts run to pasting a layer of Tengujo to back of the
affected area, then recutting and refolding the original mechanism.
does this sound like overkill?
Thanks
