[BKARTS] Bookmaking With Kids Blog
To see an abundance of new posts on the Bookmaking with Kids blog,
please visit http://www.bookmakingwithkids.com
The blog works something like a scrapbook, something like a notebook,
something like a calendar and something like conversation. It's all
about the pleasures of bookmaking with kids--and the huge advantages
it confers on beginning readers, emerging writers and nascent artists.
Equally important, it's about the practicalities of bookmaking in the
classroom (or at home). So it abounds with tips, photos, templates,
curriculum tie-ins, resources, instruction sheets, news items and the
like.
Recent posts include projects to try (replica hornbooks, books with
chalkboard covers), exhibitions to visit (a Robert Sabuda show),
events to attend (a Family Bookmaking Day), dates to remember (the
Arts Education Resource Fair). I'm hoping Listserv members will
particularly enjoy the recent "Consider the Colophon" post.
If you're a teacher, a librarian, a parent, a principal, a reading
specialist, an arts educator--this blog is for you. To receive the
Bookmaking with Kids e-newsletter, you can subscribe to my email list

Welcome, enjoy and best wishes for the school year ahead.
