Re: Early instructions for cloth case binding?
Jeff,
If you send me your email address I'll send a .pdf file listing 85
references to embroidered bindings in 31 books.

Subject: Early instructions for cloth case binding?
Does anyone know the earliest bookbinding manual that has
instructions for making a cloth case binding? The earliest I have
found is a brief passage in John Hannett's "Bibliopegia", 6th edition
1865.
Thanks,
