The University of Texas Preservation and Conservation Studies for Libraries and Archives of the Graduate School of Library and Information Science is pleased to announce that Roberta Pilette will become the Book Conservation Laboratory Instructor in Fall 1993. Ms. Pilette is a graduate of the Conservation Education Programs, Columbia University, where she acquired her Master of Library Science degree along with an Advanced Certificate in Library and Archival Conservation in 1984. She has extensive treatment skills and experience, and has taught a wide range of binding related skills. Ms. Pilette has worked in outstanding institutions such as the New-York Historical Society, Columbia University, New York City Municipal Archives, and the Library of Congress. Through these very different institutional settings she has identified the common ground of the collections conservation approach within large and small, circulating, and special collections; as well as performed expert single item treatments. The knowledge and experience she brings to the Preservation and Conservation Studies will be a tremendous asset to the programs and its students. *** Conservation DistList Instance 6:58 Distributed: Wednesday, May 12, 1993 Message Id: cdl-6-58-001 ***Received on Wednesday, 12 May, 1993
We need your help. FAIC seeks to improve CoOL and the DistList, and increase their value to the conservation field and beyond. In an effort to do so, we have put together a short, voluntary survey of DistList subscribers and other users of the CoOL website and its various resources. Please help us develop these invaluable resources by taking a few minutes to complete the survey
