Subject: Acetate foil
**** Moderator's comments: The poster refers to an "Acetone foil", but I have changed this heading to the much more probably "acetate" throughout. If there is indeed so unlikely a creature as acetone foil, I please correct me :-) I have a letter from the Menangfax Co. in Kuala Lumpur looking for assistance in finding an Acetate foil. The following is their description: This Acetate foil acts as a flue which melts under heat (360 F) and pressure. It is used to laminate documents and sandwich a document under repair between 2LX tissue. The sample attached to the letter looks like a piece of clear 1 mil soft polyester. They are looking for a source to purchase this material. We don't recognize the sample but would refer them to anyone that would have such a product. Can anyone recommend a source? We need your help. FAIC seeks to improve CoOL and the DistList, and increase their value to the conservation field and beyond. In an effort to do so, we have put together a short, voluntary survey of DistList subscribers and other users of the CoOL website and its various resources. Please help us develop these invaluable resources by taking a few minutes to complete the survey
