Is the acetate foil the same thing William Barrow used in his lamination
process or something similar to it?  The brief description of the use
being made of the foil sounds very much like descriptions of Barrow's
process in which case it might be well to begin with the Virginia State
Library or Archives in Richmond, or with one of the individual state
archival agencies which have used Barrow's process through the years.
