I have some very good friends who are rabid collectors of postcards and
who take great care of their acquisitions. They also like to display
them. They have a series of "boards" made up that circulate on their
walls so that no series is up for more than a few weeks. Each board has
a particular theme or postcard set, and an identifying title card. No
cards are directly mounted to the boards, they use mylar postcard
sleeves (I don't know where they get them) and photo corners to hold the
cards in place. I have suggested that they replace their plexi glazing
with a UV-filtering plexi for added light protection. The whole thing
then slides into an aluminum frame for hanging, which also makes
rotating the "show" simple and quick.

I have suggested that for particular boards that seem to be out more
than others to simply get a duplicate set of cards for display. That
may not be possible in all cases, but will keep the real treasures
safely in storage away from the light. I seem to remember postcard
sleeves offered in University Products' catalogue, by the way.
