Subject: Colored Japanese paper
A couple of years ago we started talking about a source for high quality kozo sheets, in solid colors. Japanese papers are used for book/binding repairs, and maybe blue kozo sheets could be used for blueprint fills. Aiko's (Chicago, Illinois) expressed an interest in stocking conservation quality kozo sheets, if we could specify colors and paper weight that would be most useful. Can we agree on 5 to 10 colors, and a paper weight? I'd like to follow up on this tentative beginning, and would like to collect opinions and paper samples in order to pursue the idea. Please email, or write to me (P.O. Box 778, Jefferson City MO 65102), or see me at the AIC meeting. We need your help. FAIC seeks to improve CoOL and the DistList, and increase their value to the conservation field and beyond. In an effort to do so, we have put together a short, voluntary survey of DistList subscribers and other users of the CoOL website and its various resources. Please help us develop these invaluable resources by taking a few minutes to complete the survey
