Airplane cloth

From: Sarah Lowengard <sarahl>

I am sending this message as the conservation consultant for
Testfabrics.

Over the past few years, I have told a number of people that
Testfabrics carries airplane cloth--a very fine, strong evenweave
fabric of a type once used as the skin on airplanes (or so I have
been told). Some of you have reported back to me that a call to
Testfabrics about this was not successful.

In an effort to restore my reputation, I'd like you all to know that
a recent inventory of the warehouse *did* turn up the airplane cloth
I knew was there. I have a sample of the cotton, which is heavier
than pima but not so heavy as duck, 88x88, 60" wide, in the "print
prepared" state, $20/yard.

Contact Testfabrics for more information (908-469-6446 fax
908-469-1147) or e-mail me (sarahl [at] Panix__Com).

We need your help. FAIC seeks to improve CoOL and the DistList, and increase their value to the conservation field and beyond. In an effort to do so, we have put together a short, voluntary survey of DistList subscribers and other users of the CoOL website and its various resources. Please help us develop these invaluable resources by taking a few minutes to complete the survey
