Subject: Large scale preservation
I am a government documents librarian and am working on formulating a game plan for conserving/preserving our older documents, which are bound in deteriorating lambskin. Can someone offer suggestions on how I might conserve/preserve on a large scale (several hundred volumes) these valuable research materials fairly cheaply and efficiently (like most libraries, we are severely under-funded and understaffed). We need your help. FAIC seeks to improve CoOL and the DistList, and increase their value to the conservation field and beyond. In an effort to do so, we have put together a short, voluntary survey of DistList subscribers and other users of the CoOL website and its various resources. Please help us develop these invaluable resources by taking a few minutes to complete the survey
