Girdle books

From: Margit J. Smith <mjps>
Date: Monday, February 10, 2003
Can someone point me in the right direction to find information
about the surviving mediaeval girdle books in libraries and/or
museums? As I understand it from a mention about an NYPL exhibit
several years ago, there are only 23 known examples remaining and I
will contact NYPL, of course. If you know of any other institutions
that own mediaeval girdle books, I would appreciate hearing from
you.
