The Preservation Directorate of the Library of Congress announces
the next lecture in its series on Topics in Preservation Science:

"Sensing Sensitivity: Detection of Light-Exposure Risk in
Colored Art Objects"
Paul Whitmore
Director, Research Center on the Materials of the Artist and
    Conservation, Carnegie Mellon University
Monday, March 24, 2003,

He will touch on, among other things, micro-testing for the fading
of colorants in works on paper.  The lecture will be held from
11-12:30 in the Mary Pickford Theater, Madison Building, Library of
Congress (101 Independence Ave., Washington, DC 20540).
