An educational seminar held at the Folger Shakespeare Library,
followed by site visits in the Capitol Hill area.

Historic preservation professionals, architects and conservators
will present cleaning, treatment and monitoring practices
implemented on marble buildings and monuments. In order to discuss
and compare the successes of various approaches over time, the
seminar will focus on projects in the Washington DC area over the
past 20+ years. Speakers will share "lessons learned" in a
presentation format, followed by a panel discussion question and
answer session. After the presentations, site visits to relevant
monumental buildings in the Capitol Hill area will provide
first-hand examples for interpretation and discussion.

Space is limited and reservations are required. Early registration
rates for members $95; for nonmembers $110; and for students $50.
Early registration rates are available through October 10th. For
more information, email apt_dc [at] yahoo__com or call 202-997-0530.
