While using Wenol Paste on stainless steel may be ok, it is my understanding that brass should never be cleaned with any agent containing ammonia. While Wenol Paste is promoted as a detergent, the MSDS lists both ammonia and aluminum oxide amongst its ingredients. The detergent ingredient appears to be a fatty acid amide, which may also damage brass. Linda S. We need your help. FAIC seeks to improve CoOL and the DistList, and increase their value to the conservation field and beyond. In an effort to do so, we have put together a short, voluntary survey of DistList subscribers and other users of the CoOL website and its various resources. Please help us develop these invaluable resources by taking a few minutes to complete the survey
