The 3rd Washington Conservation Guild meeting of the 2004-2005 season will be held on Thursday, December 2nd at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This will be our annual HOLIDAY PARTY!!! There will be three speakers on the topic: "An Overview of Digital Photography for Conservators" Steven Puglia: Preservation and Imaging Specialist at the Media Preservation Laboratory at the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration will present "Overview: Preservation of Digital Media" Jason Young: Vice President of Information Technology at Ameridream Inc. will present "Digital Archiving for the Private Conservator" Jerry Smith: Freelance Photographer and Penn Camera Professional Sales will present "A Discussion of Digital Cameras and How to Select the Right One" The National Trust is located at 1785 Massachusetta Ave. NW. It is one block east of Dupont Circle on Mass. Ave. The closest Metro is Dupont Circle. There are parking lots on Mass. Ave. and on 18th St., but note: some lots close at 7:00 and some at 8:00.
